25,000 Twitter Pals Calls for Celebration – Lots of Giveaways Starting with ZooKeeni Pets!

I was pretty peached out when I reached 25,000 Twitter followers this week. I can't remember when I first got onto Twitter, but it has been an excellent way to connect with other pet-loving peeps and share good content. (and of course be silly on occasion. What, me?)

Combined with the fact that there are only 20 days until Christmas, I knew this was an ideal time to have a month of Giveaways. Yay!! I am very fortunate to have incredible sponsors who support what I do. And it also makes me feel really good to connect them and their products with people who love their pets as much as I do mine. My friend Alessia creates these fantastic collars and is helping me kick off the giving mania I am about to embark on. (Mind you, I have giveaways on a regular basis, but there is something about Christmas coming and that whole 25,000 number that has got me all excited.)

"Like any good story, Zookeeni Pets begins at the start of a love story.

Finally, here it was! My big sister, Giana, was getting engaged to the love of her life! To top it all off, her fiancé decided to ask for her hand in marriage in a somewhat unique way…with a puppy! Already having two beautiful dogs of my own, one of which is a rescue, my future brother-in-law trusted me to scout and find their new puppy. Finally, we found her…Lucy, the crazy red-headed Cavapoo!
I was so excited to add a little girl to our growing family of boys. Of course being an Auntie for the first time, I decided to go all out to make sure my little niece would be as shiny as that ring!

At that moment, I decided to put my childhood passion of beading to good "adult" use! Combining detailed beading with beautiful Swarovski crystals, I created my very first Zookeeni Pet© collar! This piece was a real show stopper, and as you could guess, my sister said yes!
Lucy, got a new home, family, fabulous accessories, which brought me here…to a brand new business venture!

As a New York City based artist, and animal enthusiast, I enjoy blending my craft and love of beading and knitting with my artistic and sculptural background. My joy of sculpting heavily influences and further adds to the development of my crafty and imaginative nature. I love combining the elements into one and making objects that everyday people want for their pets.

As a child, I have always enjoyed beading and making jewelry. I remember sitting for hours making necklaces and trying to sell them on the sidewalk in front of my house. Well, I've finally brought my craft from the sidewalk to a new life with Zookeeni Pets!

I, as the rest of the world, thought that pet accessories were dominated by a "girl" market. I’ve enjoyed accessorizing my boys, but I always had limited options. So, I decided to create pet collars and sweaters that could satisfy both male and female pets, and, of course, their owners!
