Nearly 5,800 Cats Adopted and Counting! November 13th
Covington, KY – November 10, 2025 — Get ready to celebrate! Purrfect Day Cat Café is marking its 5th anniversary this month with a week of festivities, community appreciation, and a heartfelt recognition of the nearly 5,800 cats that have found loving homes since the café opened.
Since welcoming its first guests in 2019 at 25 West 8th Street in Downtown Covington, Purrfect Day Cat Café has grown into one of the most successful cat cafés in America. Today, it holds the title of the #2 cat-adopting café in the nation, among approximately 300 cat cafés nationwide.
“This milestone means the world to us,” said Chuck Patton, proud owner of Purrfect Day Cat Café. “Five years ago, we set out to create a fun place where people could relax, connect, and maybe meet their new best furry friend. Thanks to the amazing people of the Tri-State area and our incredible shelter partners, we’ve changed nearly 5,800 lives — both feline and human!”
Anniversary Week Celebration: November 10–16
- November 10: Paws for Business: An invite-only appreciation night for local retail, restaurant, and bar partners.
- November 11: Day 2 of 5 Days of Giveaways: Guests can win “purr-tastic” prizes while enjoying their favorite café treats.
- November 12: Shelter Appreciation Day: Meet the rescue heroes who make the café’s mission possible.
- November 13: Official Anniversary Celebration: The big day! Expect balloons, “purr-themed” specialty drinks, and photogenic feline festivities.
- November 14: Final Day of Giveaways – More surprises, Meow-Mentos, and customer appreciation tokens.
- November 15–16: BYOD (Bring Your Own Dog) Courtyard Party: Free dog toy giveaways and outdoor fun in the pet-friendly courtyard adjacent to the café.
Purrfect Day Cat Café’s mission is made possible through its valued rescue partners: The League of Animal Welfare, Cincinnati Animal Care, and PAWS Rescue, who provide adoptable cats throughout the year.
